Access to Suaeda Cottage is via a footpath from the coast road (approx. 30 yards).
The cottage has a cobbled front yard with outbuildings housing a utility room with washing-machine and cold-water sink, a woodshed and a WC with small washbasin. The yard is enclosed with a sturdy latched gate.
The sheltered walled garden at the back can be reached either via the dining-room or sitting-room doors or via a path down the side of the house. Garden furniture, shrub and floral borders, a sunny lawn and a shady terrace make it a pleasant place for grown-ups to sit and small children to run about in. As of 2023, a folding table and chairs for outside eating are provided (but please mind your fingers, and please don’t have barbecues!).
There is no dedicated parking space, but roadside parking is free in the village and you can park temporarily on the staithe at low tide.
